Senior Superintendent of Police K Satyanarayan said that the duo were asked on the phone to come to the petrol pump in Saket.u00a0

They reached there in a car and the attackers followed them on a motorbike. There, the two groups had a brief altercation and the men on bike opened fire at the students.

As heavy gunfire started at the pump, chaos followed and the staff ran for safety, said police.

Police reached the spot and took the students to a hospital where they were pronounced dead.u00a0

Police said the two boys were shot several times. One of those killed studied in Meerut while the other was from Ambedkarnagar, they said.

Police are trying to trace the call details of the deceased. The shooting took place in the city's Civil Lines area.
