A piece of peace

On display are the younger Oberoi's acrylic on canvas works. While two of them are abstracts, the others have been picked from her Collector's Corner series. The ideation of the pieces swivels around her rich Bollywood background and the spiritual philosophies of her mother Yashodhara Oberoi. Through the calm portrayals of Lord Buddha on white background, the artist calls for peace.

"I have been following her work for the last two years. From her first set of abstracts to the Collector's series, she has certainly matured as an artist," says organiser Niten Mehta. Meghna is currently working on a new
collection, which is a mix of abstract and realistic works.

And it isn't just Meghna's arty flair that finds mention. Take a look at the creations of several other artists, who, too, feature in the show that talks about life in a metro. Featuring 27 creations, other names in this potpourri are Shweta Talwar, Anil Soni, Sunil Kumar, Rohit Sharma, Pramod Kumar Rajak, Amit Kumar Jaiswal, Shiv Singh, Nandita Chaudhuri, Vinita Dasgupta and Suchit Sahni.
