At an election rally that was organised by the NCP at Warje Malwadi in Baramati district yesterday, NCP chief Sharad Pawar urged people to vote for his daughter Supriya Sule and help her win by a huge margin.
This is the first time that Pawar has campaigned for his daughter in her constituency.
"I have paved the way for Supriya in Baramati as I think this constituency needs a young leader," said Pawar.
Even Sule stated that she was happy to contest from the constituency where her father has managed to bring about development.
As Suresh Kalmadi, Congress candidate from Pune, was also present at the rally, Pawar urged people to support him as well.
However, what was surprising was the absence of Pawar's nephew Ajit Pawar during the meet especially since the rally was organised in support of Sule.
