Several theories make the rounds about how the restaurateur may have crashed to death from her terrace
Soon after news broke that Opus owner Gina Braganza had fallen to death from the terrace of her Ulsoor flat, Bangalore's party crowd started speculating about how it may have happened.
The first reports said someone had dared her to do a reality show-style stunt, and she climbed up a dome and then slipped. To add to the confusion, police said they would investigate if there had been any foul play.
MiD DAY spoke to some guests who had attended Gina's party on Friday, and this is what we heard:
The ill-fated terrace: The Braganza Home. |

Gina fell off the terrace as per reports in the media |
'She fell through'
The party was going well, and she was dancing with a friend. Her heel got tangled with some wire and she asked if she could loosen her heel. She stepped back and lost balance. While trying to regain balance, she exerted too much pressure, going right through the skylight. She fell right through.

Baptism to death
The two priests who performed the anointing on Gina's body had also baptised her.
"They are uncles on her father's side," one of her friends told MiD DAY.
The church ceremony yesterday was attended by a large number of friends.
Her body will be buried in Hyderabad. A Kingfisher pilot and a friend of Gina's brother Neil said, "She was a fun person and never got drunk."
One mourner said to another as he headed into the church, "She was a great entrepreneur, but some things you just won't ever know."
Gina was much loved the city over and people who never met her even once expressed their condolences over status msg's and text messages.
