Chicken Biryani at ZK'S
Started by Zaheer Khan, ZK's is known for its comfy ambience replete with dim yellow hanging lights in colourful shades of purple, pink, red and orange. Their must-try appetiser is the Crackling Spinach, which is a crunchy dish made of fried spinach mixed with small pieces of onion and garlic. It's highly addictive and before you know it, it's gone. The signature veg dish at ZK's is Zaheer's favourite ufffd Makai Palak, which is basically corn saute in pure ghee, cooked with palak puree and finished with fresh cream. The chef's recco in veg is the Boondi Ki Subzi, which is khari boondi tossed dhaba style. The ZK's Hyderabadi Gosht Biryani is basmati rice cooked with lamb pieces.

Crusted Bharwan Mirch at Yellow Chilli
The inimitable celeb chef Sanjeev Kapoor is the man behind Yellow Chilli. "I have traveled the length and breadth of India in search of unique flavours from each region and several recipes of mine are a melting pot of local flavours," he states. As the name indicates, chillies play an important role in the food served here. The Crusted Bharwan Mirch includes crisp fried and crusted stuffed chillies served with chilli chutney. The green mirch was fresh and the coating crisp, but it could have done with less oil. Another of their signature dishes is their Lal Murgh, which is pan-fried crummed chicken tossed with button red chillies, which serves more than four people. The red button chillies added a unique flavour to the dish and the chicken was tender, crisp and crunchy. Lalla Mussa Dal is black lentils cooked overnight and served piping hot. It is a must-try as the dal is cooked in pure ghee.
