Plus there's a surprise lunch item of the day that could vary from Baked Chicken to Dhansak and Kabab Pies, pastries and Parsi snacks are hot favourites at Chillies n Cherries
Hidden behind a tree on a busy road where parking isn't allowed and noisy vehicles threaten to run you down, stands Chillies n Cherries. It's unlikely to grab your attention, unless you'veu00a0 sunk your teeth into one of their pastries.
Five's company: You could question the logic behind employing two chefs and three attendants in a space this small. Or wonder if the tiny table by the window is ever occupied by anyone other than hired help. You will wonder and you may complain, but only for a second. Because luxury doesn't take much getting used to, and with five well-informed attendants eager to respond to queries and offer you recommendations, the place grows on you.
Surprise lunch: Parsi cuisine lovers between Fort and Mahalakshmi have much to look forward to with this store's meal-of-the-day scheme, not to mention their delivery routes. For Rs 55 to Rs 65, you can gorge on a plateful of whatever the chef has prepared for the day, which could be Khichdi Kheema, Pulao Dal, Dhansak and Kabab, Curry Rice, Sali Boti, Sali Chicken, Kid Ghosh, Patra Ni Machhi, or Kaju Chicken. Vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes are available and the eatery also offers a limited range of Continental fare. So don't be surprised if you dial in and discover that Spaghetti Bolognese, Baked Chicken, Penne Arrabbiata or Irish Stew is what they have to offer for lunch.u00a0
