Of late, we've been looking at a man zipping across our TV screen on a fancy motorbike. He also tries hard to look cool on a dancefloor, while flat vocals drone: "Chase kar le...u00a0chase kar le...u00a0chase kar le".
Meet Dr Anuj Saxena, best remembered as Mr Kkusum on Sony. Anuj also acted in a sex drama titled Lips -- The Kiss of Death that never released, and is back now with Chase. How's this for a no-brainer tagline: 'Think fast. Run faster.'
Speaking of no-brainers, Imagine is all set for another tears-sweat-rant show set against a classic Yash Chopra backdrop -- sarson ke kheth -- in a village in Punjab. Called Desi Girl, the show features a gamut of reality show species: the defiant fighter-woman: Sambhavna Seth; the b''''es: Kashmera Shah, Anmol Singh; the sulk-and-tears women: Rucha Gujarathi and Monica Bedi. But we'll miss the queen of planet reality who laments for 'Jijus' and may have taken time out for a romp in the fields. Pity.
Rakhi Sawant would have lit up Baisakhi.
Our Favourite Person of the Week award goes to the suave Shiv from Mahi Way, Yash Raj productions' comedy-drama on Sony, for his night lessons in the pool that put an embarrassed Mahi (the adorable and overweight protagonist) at ease.
The award may have something to do with the unexpected male skin show on Indian television.
