Ruby Anand, whose husband Group Captain S P Anand allegedly hit her with a hammer and then committed suicide on Sunday, is slowly recovering from her head injuries at a private hospital.
The doctor on duty said yesterday, "She is improving, but needs to be kept under observation."
When contacted, Ruby, who is still in the ICU with bandages around her head, said, "I am fine, but please talk to my daughter instead."
However, her daughter refused to comment.
"I don't want to talk about the incident. I don't know how it has come up in the media," she said. Ruby is under the observation of Dr Phalke Umish.
Ruby's husband had allegedly tried to kill her on Sunday before he jumped to his death from the terrace of their bungalow.
He had been under psychiatric treatment.
