Listen to a Romanian boy band that boasts of the most-watched videos on Youtube and songs that have become hits all over the globe
Wintry evenings and a festive mood make December a great time to revel in music, especially if it's a Romanian boy band who have gone platinum. Akcent, the Romanian pop band will be performing at Attica (Ishanya Mall). Formed in 2001, Akcent is the moment the number one boy band in Romania and their debut album - In culori (In Bright Colours) - reached Gold and Platinum soon after its release in January 2001.

Akcent was initially just a two-member band consisting of Adrian Claudiu S ufffdna and Ramona Barta. In September 2008, they regrouped and became a three-member boy band and came out with a new album with singles such as popular Lovers Cry and Stay With Me.
The band now consists of Adrian Claudiu S ufffdna, Sorin Stefan Brotnei and Mihai Gruia "Our passion for music bought us together and we make great music that people love. Our kind of music is pop and dance and our aim is to make our listeners groove," said Adrian, adding that they derive inspiration from their peers in the industry and learn from them.
Interestingly, this band is also known for having some of the most-watched videos on Youtube and boast of the most accessed Myspace page. Plus, their songs Stay With Me and That's My Name have become massive hits on radio stations in Romania as well as in other countries such as Greece, Armenia, Russia, Poland, Turkey, Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary, Serbia, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Egypt, Pakistan, Ukraine, India, Tunisia, Azerbaijan, Jordan, Lebanon, Albania, Bangladesh and Iran.
