The Wanawadi police arrested three suspects in a hit-and-run case with the help of inputs provided by Kisan Mengade, an employee of Bharat Forge. On Tuesday night, BPO employee Mayur Gujar was hit by a speeding car and his body was dumped near the racecourse.
Gujar died of his injuries after his bike collided with the car on B T Kawade road. The Wanawadi police arrested Jitesh Garud (31), who was driving the car, his brother Ravindra Garud (33) and Jitendra Gaikwad (34).
Senior Inspectoru00a0 Bajirao Mohite of the Wanawadi police station said: "The Garuds are bookies at the racecourse. Gaikwad is a solar heater dealer. When Gujar was serious injured, they picked him up and headed to Sassoon hospital. Seeing policemen at the hospital, they got scared and dumped his body at an isolated spot."
