The watchman of the building immediately informed the owners of the car who in turn called the cops. Swaroop sustained injuries to her hand and was rushed to Cooper Hospital for treatment.
Authorities said that they arrested Swaroop for rash driving but later eased her punishment after she paid a fine of Rs 2,000. "Since there were no injuries except to Swaroop herself, we released her," said an official from the Versova police station.
When contacted, Swaroop said she was okay. "I lost control of the car," she said adding she was returning home from a party. u00a0
