A WOMAN has accused her son-in-law of torture and says he's threatened to kill them.
In a complaint filed at HSR Layout police station, S G Padmaja said her son-in-law, Jajgeet Singh Siddu, had been living in their house for the past six years since he married her daughter, Smitha Menon.
According to Padmaja, a month after her daughter's marriage, Jajgeet started harassing her. Even after providing him shelter, the harassment continued. "He used to beat her up and lock her in the house," Padmaja said in the complaint.
Of late, Jajgeet would arrive late at night and pelt stones, damaging the window panes and doors. When she objected to him ill-treating her daughter, "Jajgeet hurled abuses and threatened to kill us". Even after filing a complaint with the HSR Layout police and the women's police station, no action was taken.
On Monday, Jajgeet again created a ruckus in the middle of the night. Padmaja said they were so scared that they did not open the door till morning and rushed to seek help from the police as Jajgeet had threatened the family with dire consequences.
