Victim sustained shoulder injury, reportedly had an argument with the assailant

A 30-year-old youth was attacked and shot at by an armed assailant in Palam Vihar area of southwest Delhi late on Wednesday night. Bheem Singh who sustained a bullet wound to his right shoulder is undergoing treatment in Deen Dayal Updhyay Hospital and his condition is stated to be critical.

A senior police officer said that Bheem Singh lives in Indra Park area in Palam Vihar along with his family. Singh was called by the assailant. They both had an argument after which the assailant took out a pistol that he was carrying and opened fire on Singh.


"The victim tried to escape the bullet but it hit him on his shoulder. He collapsed on the road writhing in pain while the assailant fled from the crime scene. A local made a PCR call after which the victim was rushed to DDU. We are that the assailant's name is Pappy and we are investigating the case," said a senior police officer.
