An earthquake of magnitude 4.0 on the Richter scale hit Arunachal Pradesh's Pangin town of Siang district on Friday morning, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), reported news agency ANI.
The earthquake occurred at 8.50 am. According to the NCS, the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometres, reported ANI.
"Earthquake of Magnitude: 4.0, Occurred on 28-07-2023, 08:50:36 IST, Lat: 30.01 and Long: 94.48, Depth: 10 Km, Location: 221 km NNW of Pangin, Arunachal Pradesh, India," the NCS tweeted.
Earlier on July 22, an earthquake of magnitude 3.3 on the Richter scale jolted Arunachal Pradesh's Tawang on Sunday morning, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS).

According to the NCS, the earthquake occurred at 6.56 am
The 3.3 Richter scale earthquake hit Arunachal Pradesh at a depth of 5 kilometres.
"Earthquake of Magnitude: 3.3, Occurred on 22-07-2023, 06:56:08 IST, Lat: 27.44 and Long: 92.51, Depth: 5 Km, Location: Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh, India," the NCS tweeted.
On July 25, An earthquake of 2.4 magnitude struck Vijayapura district on Tuesday, Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC) said.
The earthquake occurred at 09:55 AM, epicentred at 2.9 kms south east of Managuli in Basavana Bagewadi Taluk, it said in a statement.
As per the 'Seismic Intensity map' of the earthquake from the epicentre, the intensity observed is very low and the tremor might be felt up to a radial distance of 15-20 kms from the epicentre.
"This type of earthquake would not create any harm to the local community as the intensity observed is very low, though there might be local vibrations felt. The epicentre falls in Seismic Zone III and the region is void of any structural discontinuities as per the Tectonic map. The community need not panic as the magnitude & intensity observed are very low," KSNDMC said in the statement.
On July 24, An earthquake of magnitude 3.8 on the Richter scale hit Tripura's Khowai on Monday, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS).
The earthquake occurred at around 3.34 pm. According to the NCS, the earthquake occurred at a depth of 31 kilometres.
"Earthquake of Magnitude: 3.8, Occurred on 24-07-2023, 15:34:34 IST, Lat: 23.82 and Long: 91.49, Depth: 31 Km, Location: Khowai, Tripura, India," the National Center for Seismology (NCS) tweeted.
