Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MLA Rohit Pawar on Tuesday said he will undertake "Yuva Sangharsh Yatra", a foot march from Pune to Nagpur to highlight the issues faced by youth in Maharashtra, reported news agency PTI.
Addressing the press conference, Rohit Pawar, who represents the Karjat Jamkhed assembly constituency, said the march will begin on October 24 and go through 13 districts covering more than 800 km and will end in Nagpur during the winter session, reported PTI.
"After witnessing several issues faced by youth in the country, be it related to contractual recruitment or various civil services exams, I became restless and sought the guidance of Pawar saheb (NCP chief Sharad Pawar). We have now decided to take out a 'Yuva Sangharsh Yatra' from Pune to Nagpur," he said.
While the name of the march is "Yuva Sangharsh Yatra", party chief Sharad Pawar's photo will be used for it, because of the efforts he is making for the state at the age of 83 and as young leaders of the party take inspiration from him, Rohit Pawar said, reported PTI.

The yatra will put forth demands that the state government scrap the government resolution (GR) on contractual recruitment in its departments, return Rs 1,000 taken from aspirants during the recruitment of talathis, and cancel the GR on the adoption of government schools, among other issues, Rohit Pawar said, reported PTI.
"We will hold dialogues with youth en route, note down their demands and present them in the winter session of the state assembly in Nagpur," the NCP leader said.
Earlier, NCP MLA Rohit Pawar stated that there may be differences in ideology and thoughts between NCP chief Sharad Pawar and his nephew Ajit Pawar but familial relations remain strong. The statement came against the backdrop of their meeting in Pune.
The deputy CM of Maharashtra Ajit Pawar and eight MLAs joined the Eknath Shinde government on July 2. This led to a vertical split in the NCP.
NCP MLA Rohit Pawar described Sharad Pawar as the "Sahyadri of Maharashtra" who will never bow before "Delhi", an apparent reference to the Centre and the BJP.
"We can meet because we don't have any quarrels in our family. But when ideology, and thoughts come to the fore, there will be conflict. Ajit Pawar has taken a separate decision but there is no difference in the Pawar family. Since we are relatives, we will meet," the Karjat-Jamkhed MLA said.
"There will be differences between the two Pawars on ideology and thoughts. Sharad Pawar has made it clear he will not go with the BJP. However, the BJP will try to put pressure but we are not concerned," the MLA asserted.
The "confusion" in the minds of people, apparently due to the meeting on Saturday, will be clear when Sharad Pawar speaks at a rally in Beed on August 17, Rohit Pawar, who is aligned with the party patriarch, added.
