Ajit Pawar explained that the purpose of the Jan Samman Yatra is to inform the public about the various initiatives and schemes introduced by the government. He emphasized that his tenure as Finance Minister, both in the previous and current governments, has ensured that there are no financial shortcomings in Maharashtra's development.
During his speech, Ajit Pawar disclosed that a significant sum of Rs 5,495 crore has been allocated for development works in Indapur taluka between 2019 and 2024. This funding is part of the government's broader commitment to the region's growth.
Ajit Pawar highlighted the success of the Maajhi Ladaki Bahin Yojana, a scheme aimed at supporting women. He mentioned that funds have already been deposited in the accounts of eligible beneficiaries and that the government will also cover the full cost of higher education for girls.
As part of the government's welfare initiatives, Ajit Pawar announced that 52 lakh families will receive three free gas cylinders each year while presenting interim budget for the state. Additionally, he mentioned the waiver of electricity bills for farmers, demonstrating the government's commitment to easing the financial burden on vulnerable communities.
Ajit Pawar also spoke about the government's efforts to support the youth by providing training allowances to those who have completed their 12th standard or graduated. This initiative aims to enhance the employability of young people in Maharashtra.
In his address, Ajit Pawar urged the public to elect candidates from the Mahayuti alliance to ensure the continuation of the schemes and initiatives that have been beneficial to the state. He stressed the importance of maintaining the government's momentum in driving Maharashtra's development.
Ajit Pawar reaffirmed his commitment to the inclusive development of Maharashtra, guided by the principles of Shivaji Maharaj, Shahu Maharaj, Jyotirao Phule, and Dr BR Ambedkar. He assured the public that his government would work for the welfare of all social groups, ensuring that no one is treated unfairly.
