Modi stated that the upcoming Union Budget, to be presented on Tuesday, will set the course for the next five years and lay the foundation for achieving the vision of 'Viksit Bharat' by 2047.

Modi urged all Members of Parliament (MPs), regardless of their party affiliation, to focus on working for the country over the next five years. He stressed that the period of electoral campaigning is over and the priority now is national service.

The Prime Minister condemned the undemocratic attempt to silence the voice of the government in a previous session. He referred to the opposition's protest during his speech, which he claimed was an effort to undermine democratic processes.

Modi encouraged all parties to allow first-time MPs to speak and share their views in Parliament. He highlighted that some MPs have been unable to express their views due to the negative tactics of certain parties.

Modi asserted that Parliament should serve the entire nation and not just political parties. He emphasised that the focus should be on national development rather than party interests.

The Prime Minister highlighted the importance of the Monsoon session of Parliament, noting that it is a significant event in India’s democratic journey. He remarked on the historic achievement of presenting the first budget of a third consecutive term of government.

Modi noted that India is one of the fastest-growing major economies, with about eight percent growth in the past three years. He expressed optimism about the future, citing positive outlooks, investments, and performance as key drivers of current opportunities.
