Rahul urged citizens not to let the 'flame of truth' be extinguished in the face of hatred and violence as he paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi, fondly known as Bapu.

The Bharat Jodo Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi entered Bihar on Monday amid the recent political developments--Nitish Kumar's return to the BJP-led NDA.

The Congress leader held a prayer meeting in Araria commemorating the 76th death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi during the Bharat Jodo Yatra.

Meanwhile, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh vowed to continue the fight against the ideology responsible for Gandhi's assassination and stressed that there was a need to prevent those who glorify Godse from defining the 'Idea of India'.

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge raised concerns about the BJP's potential impact on parliamentary democracy and the electoral process if elected for a third consecutive term.

The Congress resumed its yatra from West Bengal's North Dinajpur district on Monday, continuing the hybrid march covering over 6,700 km, 100 Lok Sabha constituencies, and 337 assembly segments.

The Bharat Jodo Yatra, spanning 67 days and covering 110 districts, is expected to conclude in Mumbai on March 20.
