The proceedings in both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha during Winter Session were disrupted & eventually adjourned for day due to continuous uproar from Opposition

The Rajya Sabha Chairman announced the adjournment of the session barely minutes after its commencement at 2 pm, citing the ongoing disturbance caused by the ruckus between members from opposing political parties. Despite attempts to address the situation and make an important announcement, the verbal clashes persisted.

Amidst the chaos, the Rajya Sabha Chairman decided to adjourn the House for the day, scheduling the next session for December 18 at 11 am, aiming to regain order and conduct proceedings effectively.

Similarly, the Lok Sabha faced pandemonium, prompting its adjournment for the day as well. The opposition's uproar led to a situation where conducting any meaningful parliamentary business became unfeasible.

Earlier attempts to commence the day's session also met with disruptions as both houses were adjourned until 2 pm, primarily due to the persistent uproar from opposition leaders.

In the Rajya Sabha, after initial commotion, the House witnessed the laying of papers on the table, followed by statements from three Union Ministers regarding the government's agenda for the ongoing session. However, 23 notices under Rule 267, submitted by opposition MPs seeking suspension of business to discuss the recent security breach, were disallowed by the Chairman.

Despite the Chairman's explanation about the ongoing investigation into the security breach incident and the assurance of a thorough inquiry, the opposition members continued their agitation, urging for the Leader of the Opposition to address the House.

Simultaneously, outside Parliament, opposition parliamentarians staged a protest, emphasizing their demand for action against BJP MP Pratap Simha regarding the security breach. Their placards echoed demands for accountability from the Prime Minister and Home Minister while expressing concerns about the state of democracy. These protests reflect the opposition's insistence on seeking answers and accountability on the issue.
