Tractor rally in Delhi: Farmers defy barricades, clash with police; enter Red Fort and hoist flag

Farmers' tractor rally on Republic Day although started off smoothly, it was marred by protesters breaking down police barricades with authorities resorting to using tear gas shells and lathicharging them. There were some peaceful moments though with farmers being welcomed with a shower of flowers by women protesters, enjoying langar and sharing tea with police.  Later, hundreds of protesting farmers riding their tractors and bikes reached the iconic Red Fort in New Delhi as the 'Kisan Gantantra parade' turned violent at several places. Meanwhile, hundreds of farmers clashed with the Delhi Police personnel near ITO intersection in central Delhi.
