Fireworks and decorations dazzled India as people celebrated Diwali 2023 on November 12. Some lit ‘diyas’ around their homes while some offered prayers at the nearby temples. Devotees also lit earthen lamps at temple premises on the auspicious day. Public places, markets and stores dazzled in mesmerizing colors. Sweets are an integral part of Diwali celebrations too. Offering sweets to Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi is the norm. People also exchanged sweets on Diwali. This year, Diwali 2023 began from November 10 and will end on November 15th. The entire 5 days of Diwali have one common theme - to be blessed with love, prosperity and auspiciousness.
