One person died and several more were injured after multiple explosions took place at a prayer meeting of Jehovah`s Witnesses in the Kalamassery area of Kerala`s Kochi on the morning of October 29. The first explosion took place around 9 a.m. and multiple blasts followed thereafter, over the next hour. More than 2,000 people were attending the prayer meeting when the blasts took place. The incident came a day after the former chief of the terrorist group Hamas, Khaled Mashal, virtually addressed a pro-Palestine protest amid the Israeli military offensive in Gaza. Director General of Police Shaik Darvesh said that the preliminary investigation showed that an IED device was used for the explosion. Further investigations are going on in this Kerala blast incident.
