Parliament Winter Session: When HM Amit Shah, Farooq Abdullah engaged in a war of words

Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Jammu & Kashmir National Conference Chief Farooq Abdullah engaged in a heated exchange on December 06 in the Parliament Winter Session over the Kashmir issue. Notably, Lok Sabha on Dec 06 passed two bills relating to Jammu and Kashmir namely the Jammu and Kashmir Reservation (Amendment) Bill and the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill 2023. The Home Minister Amit Shah in his reply to the debate targeted the Congress and stated that the people suffered due to “two blunders” of India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru - declaring “premature ceasefire” and taking the issue to the United Nations.
