Sheetal Shah, a beautician, who owns a beauty parlour in Surat, Gujarat, entered the Guinness Book of World Records for continuously cutting the hair of 571 people for 24 hours. The previous record was held by a London couple, who cut the hair of 521 people.
Sheetal praised her employees for her support during the task.
She claims, the idea of attempting the world record came during a casual discussion with her husband. After approaching the Guinness officials, they greenlighted the record attempt.
Sheetal started the haircuts on Saturday at around 9:14 am and ended 24 hours later on Sunday.
