Bride Kelly Scott said that getting married in a traditional way cost thousands, which they couldn't afford.
She wore comfy slipper boots with her babygrows and her groom Stuart wore trainers during their marriage ceremony, the Mirror reported.
Witnesses Helen Bottomley and Adam Mills, Kelly's aunt and uncle Karen and Andy Tweedale, nephews Louis and Harrison Tweedale and niece Chloe Ellison, their one-year-old son Frankie and Kelly's seven-year-daughter Tiegan also stuck to the unusual dress code, the Mirror reported.
Others chose to dress more traditionally, including Kelly's younger brother Brad-Lee Mullins who wore a grey suit.
Kelly, a 30-year-old account manager for an energy company, and Stuart, a 39-year-old electrical engineer, had the last laugh in their babygrows when it started to snow.
The couple, from Oakland Terrace, Castleton, are now saving up to go on honeymoon with their kids to Disneyland and Las Vegas next year.
