Man sets record by watching movies for 121 hours straight
Johannesburg: By setting a new Guinness World Record after watching movies for 120 hours straight sans sleeping, a Canadian man has become the biggest couch potato.

Suresh Joachim, who broke the previous record of 120 hours 23 minutes by more than 1 hour to set a new world record of 121 hours 18 minutes, said that he is very excited as it is his first title in Africa, Channel 24 reported.
Joachim's new record supersedes that set by Ashish Sharma in India, who spent 120 hours 23 minutes, watching 48 movies.
All the movies were streamed via Telkom's Boltspeed fibre. Managing executive for group communication and public relations at Telkom, Jacqui O'Sullivan, said it was the first time the record for the most time spent consecutively watching movies has been attempted via streaming.
The Telkom Unlimited Movie Marathon took place at the Sheds in downtown Johannesburg in aid of LifeLine, the official charity. Rs 10 000 was handed over to LifeLine.
