Jeanette and Arthur Fardelin conceived all the five babies at the same time using IVF.
Eldest Millie, now 6-years-old, was born in 2006 but the rest of the embryos had been frozen.
4-year-old Adam, arrived two years later, followed by Matthew, two, and now the twins Lulu and Isaac, just two weeks old, have completed the family quintet.
"It really is a dream come true. They are all miracles to us," a major newspaper quoted Jeanette as saying.
And IVF pioneer Prof Charles Kingsland, a consultant gynaecologist at Liverpool Women's Hospital, said that it was an exceptionally rare event for a woman to have so many of her embryos frozen and for them to turn into so many healthy babies.
"I've never seen it before in 20 years. We have moved on because of the development of cutting-edge technology," Kingsland said.
Jeanette and 43-year-old transport manager Arthur of West Derby, Liverpool had got married 18 years ago and had tried for a baby for eight years before their first unsuccessful IVF attempt in 2001.
Bid no 2 had ended in stillbirth, but Jeanette conceived on her fourth try in 2005 and Millie was the result.
In all 18 of her eggs had been fertilised and doctors at Liverpool Women's Hospital had frozen the remaining embryos.
"When we said we wanted to try for another baby they warned us not to build our hopes up," Jeanette said.
"But the doctor came back and said they were âfabulous embryos' in very good condition.
"We can never thank them enough for what they have done giving us five healthy, beautiful children," she said.
Looking at her family with the two new additions, Jeanette said that she felt as though she had to pinch herself to believe it.
"Millie is thrilled to have a little sister as well as three brothers. She is like a little mother to the twins," she said.
The couple said that their family is now complete and sent a message to others going through the rollercoaster of IVF.
"We felt it wasn't going to happen for us but we never gave up hope of a family one day," Jeanette said.
Kingsland said that this was a wonderfully happy outcome and that they were all delighted for Jeanette and her husband.
