'Crazy' 20-year-old is giving people a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to choose what to ink on her derrière in an online auction
'Wild girl' auctions tattoo space on her butt to get out of debt
An unusual online auction has left web users amused. A young woman from Wellington in New Zealand is auctioning off a 'canvas' on her buttocks so that a bidder can select a tattoo for it.
Bailey Price has advertised the 9 cm x 9 cm space on her derrière via the Trade Me website.
The 20-year-old says she's doing it to "get out of debt," but admits she has a "crazy personality".
Her listing on the Trade Me website reads: "I'm a pretty wild girl so most people who know me wouldn't be surprised that I'm offering the winner of this auction to have anything tattooed on my butt."
If the winning bidder hails from Wellington, Bailey said that she would also invite him/her to come and watch the tattooing take place.
And what's stranger? The winner gets a framed photo of the finished product. So far, her canvas has attracted bids of thousands of New Zealand dollars, and at the time of writing it's currently selling for $2,600 (R1.25 lakh). The auction will be open till December 14.
A spokesperson for Trade Me told The Mirror, "It's a fine line, but the bottom line is we allow these listings to go ahead, provided the seller and buyer are both very clear about their expectations."
