Vajpayee received awards for his contributions to the country. His receieved the Bharat Ratna, India`s highest civilian honour, in 2015.

Atal Bihari Vajpayee served as the 10th Prime Minister of India from 1998 to 2004. He was a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and was the first non-Congress Prime Minister to serve a full five-year term.

During Vajpayee's tenure as a PM, he was known for his moderate approach to politics. Vajpayee was also credited with the India's nuclear tests in 1998.

Vajpayee received awards for his contributions to the country. His receieved the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian honour, in 2015.
