Arshad Rana, a Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader, was seen crying in a video after being denied ticket in the upcoming Uttar Pardesh Assembly polls. "Tamasha bana diya (They have made a joke out of me)," he can be seen saying in the clip.
Rana alleged that BSP party leaders promised a ticket but then decided to give it to someone else.
He claimed to be working for 24 years and was even formally declared a candidate from Charthawal in 2018 for the 2022 Uttar Pradesh polls.
The BSP leader alleged that he was trying to get in touch with party leaders but is yet to receive any proper response. "I have been told to arrange Rs 50 lakh and I have already paid about Rs 4.5 lakh," Rana was quoted as saying by ANI.
