The Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Andheri, which was inaugurated recently could have well been named after Dr Mandke.
As this super specialty hospital makes its mark in medicare, the visionary cardiac surgeon, the late Dr Nitu Mandke, who was the brain behind this project, will eventually be forgotten.

Only a division of the hospital bears the name of Dr Mandke, and this is demeaning to his eminence.u00a0u00a0u00a0
u00a0It would have been nice if the Ambanis would have retained the name of the hospital.
