As a kid, I used to look forward to January 14 every year, as it was the first holiday in the new year.

It was only later, as I grew older, I realised that the day was celebrated as Makar Sankranti or the kite-flying day.

So on this day, I would go to the terrace to fly kites. After handling the kite on my own for some time, I would hand it over to another kid and then run off to the neighbouring terrace to convince the guys to cut that kite.

Later I would laugh at them for playing against a kid. People used to get embarrassed and annoyed, but I enjoyed the moment.
