Abhishek Manu Singhvi and Arun Jaitley sparring in the Rajya Sabha attracted much attention online. As Kiran Kumar S put it, 'The debate probably covered more points than all of Rahul Gandhi's speeches.' Someone using the handle Chughster had this to say: 'Arun Jaitley is to arguments what Manmohan Singh is to silence.' Sucheta Dalal weighed in with: 'Jaitley brilliant. Wouldn't it be wonderful it he was always consistent to one side ufffd as a lawyer he's equally good for the wrong causes!' And from Rahul Sharma: 'Kanimozhi has just graced the Rajya Sabha, which is discussing a bill against corruption.'

Mahendra Singh Dhoni came in for a fair amount of criticism after a batting no-show that resulted in Australia winning the first match in the Test series at the MCG. Venkat Ananth tweeted: 'No one is willing to criticize Dhoni. Not a bad captain. Just a poor tactician.' Sandip Tarkas described him thus: 'MSD as a bowling captain reminds me of Karan Johar. Just no idea how to get rid of the second half.' An optimistic Ghatothkatch added: 'This first Test is a cunning plan by Dhoni to make them believe we are a weak team so we beat them convincingly in the rest of the tests.' And an observation from Jarrod Kimber: 'If Dhoni's innings went as long as this press conference, India would have won.'
