The recent SC ruling in favour of live-in relationships has given a boost to many relationships across India. It will now give Indian couples the privilege to come out openly. It feels really good to see the nation developing and coming on par with the West. It is not about ruining the cultural ethos and rites, but about changing to cope with the new generation.

Now, after the ruling has been passed, I am happy for a lot of friends who had been facing a lot of pressure since the time they had started living-in together. Some people feel that it might be a threat to the institution of marriage, but at the end of the day, to each his own.
