In my career, I have been inspired to make films on real-life subjects. We have a plethora of burning issues in India but we can do little to change the system. This has led me to vent my anger about the issues through the medium of cinema.
One such topic is ragging. I met a boy who was regularly raped by his seniors in the hostel. Having studied mechanical engineering myself, I know how students are treated in hostels by their peers and seniors.
The rage that I felt after hearing the boy's trauma at that time gave birth to one of my scripts. And if my story saves a life of even one student from this evil, I'll render my efforts successful.
