Anil Kapoor, A R Rahman and the crew of Slumdog Millionaire are on top of the world for winning the Golden Globe awards and being nominated for the Oscars. They seem to beu00a0 taking pride in exposing the darker side of the slums in India. But have they thought of contributing towards the betterment of these slum dwellers?
Actors often visit slums and show their concern towards the poor, but this is done only for publicity.
Moreover, the title Slumdog Millionaire is derogatory. The title should be changed so that the sentiments of the poor in India are not hurt. Most Indians are saddened to see that the film shows the country in poor light.
