It just seems to be about relationships, relationships and relationships in the news.u00a0And ones that go a little deeper than Mrs Mafatlal's love for lucre.
First off, the love affair between a billion Indians and Dhoni seems to have developed irreparable cracks. The dashing captain who could do no wrong - including helping unleash that dratted downmarket fashion of bonded and dyed locks - now seems to be slowly but surely toppling off his pedestal.
The whispers had started before the T 20. They intensified during the matches. Rumours of rifts between him and his Vice Captain. Press conferences to display unity. Nothing could help the cat calls that began after the ignonimous defeat. Dhoni's side locks have streaks of grey in them now. And the fast bikes are not as iconic as they used to be.
Moving on to someone who has been the butt of many sms jokes recently. (sample this typical weak laugh: All maids have refused to clean any steel utensils; they have no wish to have anything to do with something shiney.). Mr Ahuja turned from "Shiney-yeah-vaguely-remember-him-wasn't-he-in-some-movie" to the man in the limelight, as he inadvertently turned a weekend romp with the hired help, into national news.u00a0
The wife is standing by him (for now). The neighbours have all testified to his haloed character. And the film frat - all hundred odd botoxed, blinged, and siliconed specimens - are pulling out their little black books to pencil in a support march for him.
But the point is, he's already admitted to having a canoodle with the cuisinier. Who knows, maybe, he's in love - and was just showing it in the best way he could!
However, the one relationship that's being torn apart on the cocktail circuit across the world, is the Wedding of the Year. Come August, and Archie Andrews marries Veronica Lodge. Nobody knows what happened after Riverdale High or even when the crowd graduated. But for all those who grew up on episodes of Pop Tate's crew, this is an end to an era: Archie married!u00a0
Like with all celebs, anybody and everybody has an opinion on the wedding.u00a0 What is the bride gonna wear? Will Archie drive up in his jalopy? Is Reggie gonna stop the wedding? And should Juggie be let near the food?
There's the pro-Ronnie side and the rooting for Betty crowd. But rumour has it that Betty has been sweet enough to be bridesmaid.
Betty's nice. But hey,u00a0 nice is boring. And Miss Lodge has it all: good looks, money, fabulous clothes - and a personal jet.
Which guy wouldn't go for her?u00a0
