Poor Mrs Katta.
She is so upset her husband and her son are in jail that she has padlocked the fifteen bedroom family mansion and left a skeleton staff of only two hundred or so, while she has disappeared to places unknown ufffd to recover from her depression.
How can Karnataka and its people be so unkind as to deliver such an unkind Kut to the family. It just doesn't help that the cupboards are brimming with (hard-earned) money, or the private choppers are in mint condition, and the Birkin totes are hand-delivered by the truckful.
What did the boys do that was so wrong? They merely used their Ministerial positions to masquerade as poor villagers and take away the compensation that was due to the farmers for their ancestral land. After they got the money, they then merely got the land due to the State, signed over to them. And then gave a kut (sorry cut, to people in power.). Really! It's just a normal day at work in State politics.

But then, these bloody farmers began fighting for their money. Who on earth did these people think they were? Shouldn't they be happy surrendering their little parcels of land, and being evicted? They should be honoured that the Kattas were going to develop their ancestral inheritances - even doing all the hard work, pocketing the money.
And now, and now, some impertinent Kannadigas were actually were fighting for the Kattas to remainu00a0 in jail! The unkindest Kut of all! Here they were doing service to the State. Father and son were burning the midnight oil, ensuring that there was transparency and that all money was routed to them (just so, you know, nothing went into the wrong hands - like those Johnny-come-lately farmers who wanted to claim the money.)u00a0 - and they get only jail and an LED TV for their pains.
The servants are reportedly tight-lipped about the whereabouts of the family (the distaff side that is, because clearly the men are where they belong in gaol.).
But the wife, we hear, has gone off to pray to God for her husband and son's wellbeing and safe release. It means nothing to her that a couple of pesky farmers fear for their lives because of the family thugs threatening them. After all, who are they on the blot of the landscape?
Mrs Katta is katti with Karnataka.
