It maybe a small gesture but it's important. It may seem futile, but it's relevant. A 'thank you', a 'sorry', a 'good morning', what are these but mere words and pretty small ones too, yet they can pave huge mountains for you, all in a jiffy!
How? Let me explain.
I am a firm believer in the fact that effective, clear and crisp communication is the key to a successful relationship, in all walks of life. Everywhere, the crucial ingredient is communication; the clearer the better. The crispier the words, the merrier it is for the savoured lot.
So, remember that words spoken in haste will always come back to haunt you. Under times of peace and tranquillity when the stars shine out in all their glory in the merry dark blanket of the sky, your thoughts work in nostalgic mode; that is when you realise for the first time what you have done with the lashing tongue that inhabits your mouth.
You may have spoken ill of someone, may have bitched about a friend, or you may have just uttered the most profound nonsensical rubbish your sub-conscious mind had cooked up under the effect of alcohol. None of what you said will ever be forgotten by the ones it was directed to, and none will forgive.
Just like bullets fired from a gun can never be recalled, words once unleashed never come back. Both leave behind wounds and scars that never disappear. It is these words that are capable of dividing countries, splitting families, and even creating epic rifts. So what is it that is so special about these words?
On the flip side, it is also these very words that each human being craves to hear. You and I want to hear praise but we hate the person who gives us flaku00a0-- often without realising that it is the best treatment for us at that particular time. But look at it this way, three simple words 'I love you' say and mean so much when a young lad utters these magical words to his maiden. The lady blushes, blooms in a state of efflorescence, and expresses her gratitude and affection for the knight in shining armour.
Often relationships have ended in despair due to the fact that one of the two partnersu00a0 did not utter these three magical words. So, my advice to all those who are reading this piece is that don't delay or wait for the right moment to let your dear ones know that you care for them. Say it now, and say it out loud and clear.u00a0
Tomorrow may never arrive to offer you that chance.
