Florida: A 10-year-old boy died after being hit by a bus at Walt Disney world, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The boy, from Florida, was riding a bicycle with an 11-year-old friend at Fort Wilderness on the Disney World resort in Orlando when the bus hit him.
According to Florida Highway Patrol Sgt Kim Montes, the pair were wearing helmets. The 11-year-old girl was not hurt.
Preliminary reports show that the children were not accompanied by an adult, according to Sgt Montes, who added that there were 28 passengers inside the bus at the time of the accident.
Andrea Finger, a spokesman for Disney said, "We wish to extend our deepest sympathy to the boy's family and loved ones for their loss. We're currently providing the necessary resources and care to help the family with this situation." She added that the bus driver and witnesses are currently waiting to be interviewed by authorities.
Last summer, a 21-year-old monorail driver died at Disney World when two trains collided. Disney World's The Magic Kingdom, which includes the famous Cinderella Castle, alone receives 17 million visitors a year, including many from Britain.u00a0
