A little girl with a big heart has penned a poignant letter urging the Prime Minister to "do his best to fix" the riots that have plagued the UK.
Kaya Barron-Lee (9) of Copsewood, Werrington has also written a big thank you card to emergency services for their heroic actions.
The youngster became upset after seeing the scenes unfold on the television and asked mum Jemma (26) what she could do to help stop the riotous scenes.
Jemma told her daughter that Prime Minister David Cameron was the man in charge, so Kaya decided to write a letter to him.
Her mum said, "If a child of nine can see and understand that what's happening is wrong and damaging then why can't the looters themselves?"
Kaya's letter
Dearu00a0Mr Cameron,
Hello my name is Kaya and I am 9 years old, I am writing to you because I am worried about the riots.
I saw the news and the devastation that is being done to innocent people and their homes, it scares me a lot to think we might not be safe in our country. It makes me ashamed to see people acting so disrespectfully.
My mummy taught me to protest and stand up for what you believe in using words not violence. This is me protesting about what I saw and kindly asking you to do your best to fix it and help me feel safe and proud again.
Thank you,
From Kaya
