Country pop-singer Taylor Swift is certainly flying high after capturing album of the year at last night's Grammys. Despite having edged out Beyonce for this top honour, the two are still teaming up for charity today along fan favourite Lady Gaga, who bagged two trophies at theu00a0 52nd Grammy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles.

Legendary producer Quincy Jones and Lionel Richie will be working with the supergroup in LA today to re-record the chart-topping 1985 singleu00a0 We Are The Worldu00a0 in support of Haiti earthquake victims.

Given the fanfare that surrounded the original Michael Jackson/Lionel Richie charity single, released nearly
25 years ago, this new version is poised for great commercial success just in time to help another country in need -- Haiti.

Star power

Other stars scheduled to perform include Akon, Jason Mraz, Bono, Wyclef Jean, Carlos Santana, Enrique Iglesias, Usher, Toni Braxton and Lady Gaga. The recording session will be held at the historic A&M complex in Hollywood which is where the original song was recorded.

Jason Mraz, who also won two Grammys yesterday, confirmed that he will be taking part in the We Are the World tribute. Mraz said, "It's a terrific return for a terrific song, and the Haiti disaster is a wake-up call to all of us reminding us we're all on the same planet."
