Amateur Houdini red faced after ripping female teacher's bra through shirt!

An amateur Houdini has apologised for his weird and embarrassing magic trick that appeared to rip off a female teacher's bra through her shirt.

According to The Enterprise of Brockton, Russell Fitzgerald, a Massachusetts school committee chairman has apologised for his introduction to a televised meeting using a magic trick that left the audience in a state of shock.

Fitzgerald tied two handkerchiefs into a knot at the meeting in Abington, giving one end to a male teacher and holding the other himself.

The female teacher Ellen Killian, who was left mortified on seeing the show on local television, was asked to hold the knot tightly to her chest and as soon as both the men pulled the ends, out came a bra tied to the handkerchief.

"I was just as shocked as everybody else," the New York Daily News quoted Killian as saying.

"I just want to make it clear I had no prior knowledge how his trick was going to end," she stated.

Fitzgerald issued a written statement saying that he regretted the stunt and even apologised to both Killian and the male teacher.

"My intention was to begin a purposeful school committee business meeting in a way which was enjoyable and light-hearted," Fitzgerald said.

"I am sorry for the embarrassment this has caused Ms. Killian, my fellow school committee members and the school department.

"My desire is to get back to important school department business," he added.
