Amy Winehouse was cremated yesterday in accordance with Jewish custom, and her family will fulfil her wish that her ashes are put with those of her grandmother, Cynthia, who died in 2006 from lung cancer.

A family friend said, "We all hope Amy can finally find some peace." Amy idolised her grandmother, a jazz singer.

The tattoo of a woman in a red shirt on the top of her right arm was said to depict her. She also had her grandmother's name tattooed on the arm.

Meanwhile, Amy's ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil will not be attending the funeral, after he was not granted compassionate leave from jail where he is serving a 32-month sentence on charges of burglary and firearms offences.

Mitch has also said to have warned Blake to stay away from the service.
