Shrien Dewani, the Brit-Indian millionaire who has been charged with masterminding his wife's murder during their honeymoon in Cape Town last year, has been arrested following a heated argument with another patient at 'The Priory clinic'.

Dewani, who has been placed on suicide watch, was sent to a secure hospital. Police however, did not reveal whether Dewani had attacked anyone or was himself attacked, The Sun reports.

The incident was serious enough to be considered a breach of his bail.

The 31-year-old Indian-origin businessman is fighting moves to have him extradited to South Africa for trial.

The paper quoted a source close to the Dewani family as saying that the incident happened following a bad reaction to anti-depressants.

"Over the weekend he was loud and noisy. There were a number of violent outbursts. Doctors decided he''d be better catered for elsewhere," the source added.

"He had a reaction to his medication which meant he was loud and noisy. There was no fight or argument but one female resident got in a heated discussion with him and taunted him, saying, ''You should go back to South Africa''," he added.

Dewani is said to be suffering post-traumatic stress over the death of his wife, Anni. Her body was found in a South African township after a carjacking, which Dewani had escaped.

His extradition hearing is scheduled to take place next month.
