The black Audi A4 was reportedly seen clipping cars moments before the crash. An elderly couple was in the car and the driver had reportedly suffered from a heart attack.
Elle Akerman, a witness, said, "I just saw an old man that was pressed against the car and an old woman outside who was crying and she had blood on her. I've heard that the driver had a heart attack. There were about 15 or 20 ambulances and the whole road had been shut."
Sources at the pub said they heard a "terrible noise". Another witness, Matt Jenner, said, "A car had driven into the side of Costa, the whole car was inside. Westerham was cut off. There were sirens everywhere."
