Pop star Cheryl Cole has filed for divorce from husband Ashley and the singer wants a hassle free split so that the footballer can concentrate on the upcoming World Cup.
The '3 Words' hitmaker is not asking for one penny from Ashley who had admitted to cheating on her with multiple women. She wants a clean break from the four-year-long marriage without any wrangling so that she can get on with her new life and she will let the Chelsea soccer star keep their USD 10 million Surrey mansion, reported Sun online.
Cheryl has told lawyers to rush through a quickie divorce because she is determined the key England defender must go into the World Cup without being distracted by emotional turmoil. The 26-year-old singer said in the divorce papers that she moved into the Surrey mansion because it was important for them to be near Ashley's training ground and she wants him to keep it.
Cheryl and Ashley, who did not sign a pre-nuptial agreement, are both worth around USD 17 million each. He earns USD 10 million a year from Chelsea and lucrative sponsorship deals. She has raked in USD 8 million with the band 'Girls Aloud' and has a lucrative new contract to judge the TV show 'X Factor'.

Cheryl's divorce papers cite the reason for the split as 29-year-old Cole's 'unreasonable behaviour'. They state that the 'X Factor' judge confronted the footballer after an expose of his affairs by a tabloid and when she "put it to him that he had been unfaithful", he admitted it.
Her lawyers had intended to start proceedings in July. But Cheryl, who announced she was separating from Ashley on Twitter in February, insisted it should all be done and dusted before the World Cup kicks off. The lawyers have been working around the clock to complete paperwork that will end the couple's turbulent marriage one month shy of four years.
The divorce will end what started out in July 2006 as a fairytale match between showbiz and soccer. It began to crumble when hairdresser Aimee Walton became the first of five girls to lift the lid on Ashley's philandering. Cheryl forgave him but he was soon back to his wandering ways.
Blonde model Sonia Wild, 28, came forward in February this year to tell how she had received X-rated photos from the footballer by text in June 2009. Football secretary Vicki Gough, 30, then revealed she was sent more than 300 smutty texts by Cole.
