A 101-year-old Chinese lady has grown "devil" horns from her forehead, mystifying doctors and her family

Horny kya? The horn is 6 cm long and resembles that of a goat

Grandmother Zhang Ruifang of Linlou village, Henan province first developed the 2.4 inch long protrusion last year, which has formed a bizarre likeness to a goat's horn.

Her youngest of six sons, Zhang Guozheng, 60, said the condition began as patches of rough skin that they took little notice of.

"As time went on a horn grew out of her head and it is now 6 cm-long," said Zhang. "Now something is also growing on the right side of her forehead. It's quite possible that it's another horn."

The condition has been undiagnosed but the growth does resemble a cutaneous horn - made up of compacted keratin, a protein we have in our hair and nails - that forms horns and feathers in animals and can afflict elderly people with a history of significant sun exposure.
