Computer games helped Harry hone pilot skills

As the joint terminal attack controller, Harry sat in the front of the two seats in the 200mph aircraft with his fingers on the triggers.

"It's a joy for me because I'm one of those people who loves playing PlayStation and Xbox so, with my thumbs, I like to think that I'm probably quite useful," he said.

‘Take a life to save a life'
The prince also confirmed he killed Taliban insurgents as he returned home from Afghanistan on Monday, saying he had to: "Take a life to save a life." The prince, who has completed his four-month tour as an Apache attack helicopter gunner, was matter-of-fact about killing people, saying: "Lots of people have."

The 28-year-old flew on scores of missions with his finger on the trigger of the helicopter's rockets, missiles and 30mm cannon.

"Take a life to save a live," he shrugged. "That's what we revolve around, I suppose. If there's people trying to do bad stuff to our guys, then we'll take them out of the game, I suppose."

He said he had come under fire, adding, "Yes, you get shot at. But if the guys who are doing the same job as us are being shot at on the ground, I don't think there's anything wrong with us being shot at as well."

Prince a naive coward: Taliban
Zabihullah Mujahid, Taliban spokesman, told England's Daily Telegraph, Prince Harry was a "coward" for speaking only after he was out of harm's way. "This statement is not even worth condemning. It is worse than that," he said over telephone. "To describe the war in Afghanistan as a game demeans anyone - especially a prince, who is supposed to be made of better things."
