Female teacher charged with raping minor after filming sexual acts

A New York City teacher has been accused of rape after she allegedly filmed herself having sex with a minor student at a motel in Long Island

Tara Driscoll, 33, of Bayshore, Long Island, was arrested after police obtained a copy of the video film that explicitly showed her performing sex acts on the 16-year-old boy.

According to the police, Driscoll, an English teacher at the Campus Magnet high school, had sex session with the unidentified student on March 19 at the Capri Motel in Lynbrook, Nassau.

The boy was a student of the same school, but it's not clear if Driscoll taught him, reports the Daily Mail.

After knowing about the encounter, the victim's mother reportedly called in the cops.

Driscoll, who has surrendered to special victims investigators, has been facing charges of rape and criminal sexual act.

According to the city Education Department, the 33-year-old, though not fired, has been reassigned out of the classroom.
